DETAILS: Borgo Santandrea is the realisation of the passion project of two Italian families with generations of hospitality experience between them. They radically transformed an existing 1960s hotel, an ambitious yet respectful restoration carried out over almost four years in order to create a unique environment where Mid-Century design meets Mediterranean style.

The owners’ ultimate goal was to create an atmosphere in which guests feel they are not staying in a hotel but rather in an iconic Italian villa by the Mediterranean.

Venicem’s handmade brass and Murano blown glass lamps lend an elegant and refined atmosphere to the glittering spaces of the Hotel Borgo Santandrea, on the Amalfi coast.

Fittings used in this project

• Crown Suspension – A diffused dimmable light suspension lamp. Oblong dark striated bronze structure and crystal, amber or smoky grey Finished Murano blown glass trihedrons.
• Numa Suspension, a diffused dimmable light lamp with a crystal finished Murano blown glass and burnished brass structure – inspired by Roman colonnades.
• Urban Floor 1, a diffused dimmable light floor lamp. With a light or dark burnished brass structure and elegant metal micro-perforated lamp shade, the Urban Floor 1 softens the brightness of the blown glass diffuser.
• Urban Wall, a dimmable Murano mouth-blown glass diffuser. This sophisticated sconce has a brass structure, in a light or dark burnished finish, supports a semi-spherical shade facing downwards. With a matte burnished or a matte golden finish, the Urban Wall gives a dynamic touch to any room, this light is the epitome of elegance and modernity.
