Light fittings used in this project –
Patchwork House, Vaucluse by Decus is a layered family residence overlooking Sydney Harbour, centred around a dramatic double-height courtyard that brings light deep into the home. Designed to balance sculptural architecture with warmth and livability, the interiors combine natural stone, oak flooring, polished plaster and curated artworks to create spaces that feel both sophisticated and deeply personal.
Lighting throughout the project was carefully integrated to support the architectural clarity and material richness of the interiors. A combination of discreet architectural fixtures including NYX Trimless downlights, Genius spotlights, and Rhino recessed spotlights provides precise illumination while remaining visually minimal. Linear lighting and concealed LED profiles enhance circulation areas and joinery, reinforcing the layered lighting strategy used throughout the home.
Together these fittings create a refined lighting composition that enhances the project’s interplay of light, texture and form—allowing the architecture, art and materials to remain the focus while delivering comfortable, high-performance illumination for everyday living.
